HERMES PN10/16/25 channeled water hammer valve

• Protect the networks by piped evacuation to avoid flooding of the valve chamber.
• Water hammer is the result of the sudden variation of a movement of the mass of water in a pipe. It generates very sudden pressure oscillations, alternate overpressures and depressions.

• This hydraulic shock can be caused by:
• The starting of a pump.
• The untimely closing of a sectioning device (overpressure in the upstream network).
• The filling of a network too quickly.
• The movement of a bag air.
• Stopping a booster (overpressure upstream).

• Compact and solid design suitable for treated water or raw water to reduce reflux.
• Movable internal parts ensuring absence of friction and long-lasting performance.
• Perfect watertightness and excellent resistance to cavitation and working conditions thanks to floating valve technology and the use of special seals and high stainless steel contents.
• Quick and precise response without hysteresis effect thanks to annealed high-frequency springs.
• Reduced overpressure thanks to a wide selection of springs and pressure ranges.
• Vertical water discharge deflector.
• Epoxy coating according to FBT technology, color blue RAL 5005.
• Internal application and external with a minimum coating thickness of 250 μm.
• Epoxy coating, approved for drinking water, electrostatically applied according to DIN 3476-1.

• Tested according to ISO standard 5208-2.
• NF EN 1074-5.
• Drilling of flanges according to EN 1092/2.

Characteristics:

• Downstream of pumping stations to mitigate sudden suppression, result of starting a pump and power outage (case of one pump among others installed in parallel).
• Downstream and upstream of supply pipes, or section of pipes, which do not withstand critical conditions such as a sudden and unexpected increase in pressure, and to guarantee a reliable protection system.
• As safety equipment, upstream of a pressure reducer.
• Downstream of modulation and sectioning equipment with a rapid response time with probability of producing overpressures.
• In general, when and where pipe breaks are expected.
• Screws stainless steel.
• Fluid: drinking or raw water screened to 2 mm.
